Two Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) have been reappointed to the MHRA Board effective from September 1, 2023, according to the Department of Health and Social Care.
Michael Whitehouse has been re-appointed as a NED for three years, and as Chair of the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee of the MHRA for the same period.
Amanda Calvert has been re-appointed for two years, after first starting in post in 2018.
The non-exec role is to provide constructive and independent oversight of MHRA activities to enable the Board to meet its responsibilities. They are appointed by Ministers in accordance with the Cabinet Office Code of Governance for Public Appointments.
An MHRA spokesperson added: “Their wealth of experience and expertise has been invaluable, and we look forward to continuing our work with them [both] over the coming years.”
